MX Telecom Bulk SMS Service Prices

Overview

MX Telecom has no monthly access charge, or any added extras to access the MX Telecom Bulk SMS service. Clients simply pay for the lease of their Common Short Code and then the price per message. In the US and Canada MX Telecom routes all SMS messages 'on-net' (meaning directly into the messaging gateway of the carrier to which a user is subscribed, rather than via another carrier), to ensure that your messages are delivered as speedily and reliably as possible.

The cost of each message is dependent on two factors:

1. Destination of sent SMS.

   In the US or Canada where all messages are sent via your Common Short Codes, a standard message price applies.

   Other networks around the world, however, charge an "internetworking fee", to allow messages to terminate on their network. This is charged per message.

2. Volume

   The more messages that a client sends through the MX Telecom SMS Gateway, the cheaper the individual prices of those messages will be.

Account setup

In the US and Canada, because the carriers require the use of a dedicated Common Short Code, each carrier must approve your service and provision the short code on their network - a process that can take about six weeks. For sending SMS outside the US and Canada, MX Telecom generally sets up an account within 24 - 48 hours. Once set up, the only costs involved are those of sending SMS text messages.
